Privacy

Orelier Social is designed to collect less. The station stores the audio and descriptive information you intentionally submit: title, Preferred Name, field note, optional transcript, voice disclosure, file metadata, and moderation status.

What the station does not do

• No behavioral advertising, cross-site tracking, public play totals, or engagement profiling.
• No sale of personal data.
• No biometric voiceprints.
• No training of AI models on submitted audio.

Abuse prevention

The service processes network information to control spam and repeated abuse. It converts that information into a salted, one-way rate-limit token; the application does not intentionally store the raw IP address in its product database.

Retention and removal

Pending audio remains private. Approved audio remains publicly available until it is archived, rejected, withdrawn, or removed for safety or rights reasons. Archived audio is retained privately for moderation and may be restored; rejected and creator-withdrawn audio is deleted from audio storage. Expired or cancelled upload parts are removed from temporary storage. A private reclaim code allows the original submitter to withdraw a record without creating an account.

Terms of use

You must be at least 16 to submit a record. You keep ownership of your work. By submitting, you give Orelier a limited, revocable permission to store, review, reproduce, and publicly play the record for the operation of this station.

You may upload only audio you created or are fully authorized to use. Music is welcome when the submitter controls—or has permission covering—the sound recording, underlying composition and lyrics, performances, and any samples. Covers, remixes, beats, or sampled work may be submitted only when every necessary right is cleared. Every included voice must be consensual. AI-generated and other synthetic voices are welcome when authorized and accurately flagged at upload; that disclosure appears with the public record. Impersonation, unauthorized voice cloning, copyright infringement, and non-consensual recording are prohibited.

Orelier is an editorial publication space, not a free-speech platform, common carrier, or guaranteed distribution service. Submission does not create a right to publication. Availability may change, records may be returned to review, and Orelier may reject, archive, or remove material to protect people, rights, the station’s scope, or its public-interest mission.

Moderation position

Freedom of thought and expression are essential to human society. Internet distribution is different: it can detach speech from context, scale intimidation, reward humiliation, and make private harm permanent. Orelier therefore moderates what it agrees to circulate.

The standard is intentionally loose around ideas and deeply firm around human dignity, agency, consent, safety, privacy, and authorship. Criticism, dissent, satire, difficult questions, unpopular viewpoints, and unfinished thought may belong here. Threats, targeted degradation, dehumanization, coercion, exploitation, encouragement of harm, non-consensual recording, impersonation, and manipulative inauthentic activity do not.

The recursive screen

1. At intake, the service checks file integrity, declared rights and consent, rate limits, and obvious station-scope conflicts.
2. Before publication, a human moderator listens to the complete record and applies the ethical circulation standard in context.
3. Only a record that passes that review may go On Air.
4. While circulating, a record remains eligible for re-review through private reports, rights concerns, policy changes, or moderator judgment. It may return to the listening room or be removed.

“Recursive” means that editorial review can repeat for the life of a record. It does not mean biometric surveillance, autonomous censorship, or training an AI model on your voice. Human judgment remains responsible for publication decisions.

Station guidelines

Bring an idea, observation, question, proposition, field note, original or fully cleared song, or sound work. Music belongs in the human signal. The point is thoughtful circulation—not scorekeeping.

• Address people with dignity. No harassment, threats, targeted degradation, or encouragement of harm.
• Respect privacy, consent, authorship, and context.
• An AI-generated voice is not itself unethical and is not a reason to decline a record. It must be honestly flagged, authorized, and judged by the same circulation standard as a human voice.
• Do not use the station for spam, advertising, manipulation, or coordinated inauthentic activity.
• Do not upload material that exploits, surveils, or impersonates another person.
• The compact station code excludes extraction and feudal systems, including content that promotes them.

Every public record is heard by a human moderator first and remains open to re-review. Public reports are private: reporting is a safety mechanism, not a popularity mechanism.
